Sesame Street, world’s largest preschool educator has been conferred upon the ‘Franchisor of the Year’ award at the 13th Awards for Excellence in Franchising and Business Development for the category of Preschool / Play School. The award was presented by Franchise India at a ceremony that took place in Delhi.
Sesame Street Preschool brings the globally acclaimed Sesame Street’s approach towards education to India. For over 40 years, Sesame Street has stepped in to guide children towards success in school and life. Its initiatives bring essential early learning to kids of all backgrounds and in all sorts of settings. A 2011 study by Department of Communication Arts, University of Wisconsin-Madison concludes that children who watch one of the co-productions of Sesame Street gain an average of 10% on learning outcomes compared to those who don’t. So much more than ABCs and 123s, Sesame Street Preschools works to enrich the physical, social, and emotional aspects of children’s development.
This prestigious award is a recognition of the innovative 360 degree programme of Sesame Street Preschool which helps to instill 21st-century skills of ideation, creation, communication and collaboration among children. The nominations were adjudged by a distinguished jury comprising of some respected names in the industry.
