Children’s Day is close to every kid’s heart. This year on Children’s Day, Sesame Street Preschool at Bhagwat Nagar, Patna aims to teach kids the joy of sharing and caring. Kids will donate their toys to NGOs and orphanages from where these gifts will be distributed to underprivileged children.
Teachers will also organize a Mini Fair at the school premises on Monday, 16th November. The fun-filled day will witness many food stalls, game stalls, music and dancing. Teachers will set up entertaining games stalls like burst the balloon, shape sorting, picture reading, puzzle sorting, musical chairs, bulls’ eye etc. The fair will have food stalls serving yummy healthy food like mini idlis, sandwiches, muffins etc. Special art and craft stalls have also been planned where kids can engage in painting and drawing. A musical stall will also be created for the little dancers who love to tap their feet on popular songs from their favourite TV show Galli Galli Sim Sim.
Ms Mona Singh, Vice President, Sesame Schoolhouse, shares, “Children’s Day celebration is all about giving the child the right kind of knowledge and freedom to enjoy so that they can grow as healthy and educated citizens of the country. We at Sesame Street Preschool believe in providing the right impetus to children, giving them a food for thought to understand such celebrations and the purpose and feeling behind it. We want to educate kids about sharing and giving as these are habits which should be inculcated at the early ages itself. These are skills which will help them to become a responsible and caring adult as they grow.”
Sesame Street Preschools go beyond ABCs and 123s to instil the skills of ideation, confidence, communication and collaboration – skills that are needed not just for school but for life. Such special days and events allow each child to foster imagination, creativity, communication and collaboration. The curriculum of Sesame Street Preschools is based on over 45 years of research on how children learn, what engages them, and most importantly what ignites their desire to learn so that it becomes a lifelong habit. To nurture hungry minds, the school brings together highly trained teachers, fun, collaborative projects, and a colourful environment that activates learning- enlivened by the lovable characters of Galli Galli Sim Sim. Sesame Street Preschool aims to change the paradigm in the preschool space by making high-quality education, teaching standards and learning spaces accessible to Indian children.
